The conversion of existing machines in the context of a refit or the replacement of diesel engines, or the addition of high-voltage batteries in (mains)-driven construction machines, represent added value, which eMining is developing and offering as an extra.

The current trend is to exploit the advantages of electric drive systems. For decades, eVehicles have proved to be attractions for tourists in Zermatt and Saas-Fee. Warehouses in industrialised countries are being managed using heavy electric forklift trucks. Electric drones, the mailmen of the 3rd millennium, may replace the milkmen on the first electric vehicles. Trolley buses are an essential feature of towns and cities with heavy traffic. 

Railways and trams have been running on electricity for a century. eTrucks supplement regional truck fleets. The development of transportation equipment weighing many tonnes is once again breaking new ground. The demand for eDumpers is one to two vehicles per year for Switzerland alone. After 10-12 machines in the 100-150 tonne category have been produced, the reduction in diesel consumption will be 5 million litres with CO2 savings of 13 thousand tonnes.
